Handmade Paper Tule Grass Decor on Canvas

This is a beautiful  Hand Crafted item made of Tule Grass. It was made in the state of Puebla, Mexico. Tule is a grass like plant that grows in marshlands. The Tule is boiled, washed and then mashed into a pulp, like making paper, and then it is pounded into some molds to retain shape.It is handcrafted with different designs. The end product looks very similar as if it was made of leather. I like to put it on a painted Canvas.
